Our Story.

Inspired by summers by the sea, gracious living, and ALWAYS having the most fun, Belmead Designs mixes classic needlepoint elements with an irreverent sense of humor for the modern stitcher.

Our founder Victoria is a film and television costume designer and writer, avid watersports enthusiast, and long time needlepointer. After years of adjusting canvases and painting many of her own to stitch, she is excited to share designs with fellow needlepointers.

The name Belmead comes from a beloved old family house in Newport, RI and represents our aesthetic - mixing of old and new, high and low, and how anything classic can always be reinvented and repurposed with style and a dash of fun to fit today’s modern world.
